With the upcoming Mandela Day, it is fit to share one of his sayings:
“What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.”

FoodForward is such an organisation that makes a significant difference in the fight against hunger in South Africa.
Unitrans Supply Chain Solutions are humbled by their partnership with FoodForward for the past 4 years. Partnerships with NGO’s mostly relate to monetary contributions, but Unitrans’ vision for Socio Economic Development is to make a significant and sustainable impact . One such highlight was on 27 June 2017, with the handover ceremony that took place in Johannesburg where Unitrans donated a 8 ton truck to FoodForward.
This donation will complement their current fleet and ensure that more people can benefit from the distribution of Food that is rescued from various retailers.
Representatives from Unitrans and FoodForward attended the handover ceremony and it was a breath of fresh air to stand still and take the time to reflect on the excellent contribution FoodForward is making to the wider communities and a proud moment for Unitrans to be part of it.
