CSI Projects
Corporate Social Investment initiatives are often implemented in conjunction with our customers. In the heavily HIV/Aids affected region near Mafambisse, we have, together with Tongaat-Hulett Sugar, supported an orphan care programme for hundreds of children and teens. Near Nchalo estate in Malawi, our depot has supported the malnutrition unit of a local hospital sponsored by Illovo Sugar. In the Amatikulu vicinity of Zululand, where students were being taught in an overcrowded, partitioned community hall, we have helped finance the construction of a number of classrooms in a new school.
New CSI projects are generally considered on a regional and local basis in the areas we serve.
